Transition statements provide a snapshot of each child’s knowledge, skills and dispositions for learning across the five learning and development areas in the QKLG.

Transition statements help Prep teachers to:

understand each child’s learning progress.
support each child’s successful transition to school.

The QCAA’s kindergarten transition statement template (DOTX, 71.5 KB) aligns to the five learning and development areas and supports the provision of consistent information to parents/carers and schools about children’s learning.
