Walk Safely to School Day is an annual, national event in Australia in which primary school children are encouraged to walk or commute safely to school, an initiative of the Pedestrian Council of Australia. Our students were lucky enough to have the Gold Coast Suns mascot Sunny Ray join us on our walk while also receiving fresh fruit from our local Woolworths once we crossed the finish line.
